Automatic External Defibrillator Training

These courses are personal hands-on training with a Paramedic Instructor. Maximum student to Instructor ratio is 8:1. These programs meet the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada guidelines for defibrillation training . The training is manufacturer specific. Each student will practice various scenarios with the AED (automatic external defibrillator.) Throughout the course participants increase their familiarity with the concepts, principles and practices of defibrillation while increasing their level of confidence, competence, and ease of use of AED devices.

Targeted Responder CPR & AED Certification Course

  • Time Required: 7 Hours

  • CPR / AED manual and certification card included. Classes have a minimum billing of 8 students.
This course is designed to meet the training and continuing education requirements of targeted responders. This is a dual certification in 1 & 2 Rescuer CPR & Defibrillation. This program is designed to strengthen the Chain of Survival and provide training on 1 and 2 rescuer adult CPR and Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s). Responders may include workplace first aid providers, security personnel, lifeguards, or professional firefighters. The program establishes guidelines and protocols in the use of AED’s in accordance with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada guidelines for Targeted Responders.
